In order to avoid mistakes when ordering, here are a few jewellery terms explained:

Toggle clasp:  This necklace/bracelet clasp consists of a loop and a bar, that passes through the loop to fasten.  It is easy to use and can be done up with one hand, so is therefore very useful for bracelets.

Lobster clasp:  This clasp has a trigger mechanism that you open to slide away from the ring on the other side.  Bright Shiney Things try to use medium to large clasps on all jewellery, as they are easier to use.

Crystals: Unless stated, the crystals used are Czech crystals.  However, many of our pieces feature the high quality Swarovski crystals.  To determine, which is in your necklace, please read the description carefully.

Silver Plate:  In general, we use silver plate findings (chains, clasps, earwires etc) on our jewellery and it will be stated if the piece has Sterling Silver.  All earrings can be converted to Sterling Silver for an additional fee and Sterling Silver can be used in Bespoke pieces.  The silver plate is nickel free and comes in a variety of colours including gold, copper, silver, black, antique.

Findings:  These are all the metal parts that link the beads in jewellery e.g. the clasp, the earwires.

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

Prices
All prices quoted are in UK pounds sterling. Please note that credit/debit card exchange rates may differ. All payments are secure through Paypal.

Shipping Policy
All purchases are sent by Royal Mail 1st class recorded for UK inland shipping and Recorded Airmail for international orders. If you need your order by a specific date, please advise us at the time of ordering.

Once payment is complete the orders of in stock items will be shipped within a 2-4 days. If you would like to order an item from the Limited Edition range that is out of stock, please allow up to 14 days for delivery.  International orders delivery time is usually within 6-10 working days. For bespoke items and multiple orders, please contact us directly for specific lead times. 

All goods are packed in gift boxes and padded postage bag for safe delivery.

Shipping Prices
Recorded First Class Post – Goods up to £20.00 = Postage and Packing £3.50
Recorded First Class Post – Goods from £20.01 to £50.00 = Charge £4.50
Recorded First Class Post – Goods from £50.01 to £100.00 = Charge £6.50
Goods £100.01+ = free postage and packing
Recorded Airmail = £7.50

Returns
Due to health and safety reasons, we regret that earrings can not be returned under any circumstances.

For other items, if you are not completely satisfied with your order, the full purchase price (not including postal charges) will be refunded, provided it is returned to us in original condition, unused and in original packaging within 7 days of receipt.

When returning goods please ensure that you have adequate insurance cover (e.g. recorded delivery postage), as we cannot be held liable for items lost or damaged in transit.

Please ensure goods are well packaged. Please provide a valid receipt or proof of purchase.
